This literary work is inspired by his mother’s childhood and the people in Sangkhlaburi, a Thai-Myanmar border town.
ฉายให้เห็นความเป็นมนุษย์ในหลายมุมหลากมิติซึ่งค้นลึกลงไปสำรวจรากเหง้าข้างใน ทอดโยงกับประวัติศาสตร์ชาติพันธุ์ชนชายขอบ ต่อประกอบเป็นเรื่องเล่าเพื่อเสนอสะท้อนความจริงบางชุดซึ่งยังคงดำรงอยู่ในพื้นที่ชายแดน
This literary work reflects humanity in different perspectives that explore ancestry by digging deep into inner beliefs and relating them to the history of ethnic minorities. It then puts the pieces together into a story that presents certain truths which still exist in this rural border area.
ภาคแรก เล่าถึง ‘แม่’ และ ‘ความเป็นแม่’ ของผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งผ่านมุมมองของลูกชาย ภาคหลังคือการผจญภัยของลูกชาย เด็กหนุ่มผู้ค้นพบว่าการออกเดินทางทำให้เขาตัวเล็กลง โดยฝังตัวเงียบๆ อยู่ในเมืองเล็กๆ ชายแดนตะวันตกโหยหาทรงจำ เปิดเปลือยบาดแผลภายใน ฉายภาพชีวิตและชะตากรรมของผู้คนที่นั่น ท่ามกลางความหลากหลายทางชาติพันธุ์ และพหุวัฒนธรรม...
The first part depicts the portrait of Mother and Motherhood through her son’s perspective. The following part is about her son’s adventures. The son is a young man who discovers that his journey makes him smaller. He keeps a low profile living a quiet life in a small town in Thailand’s western border. He lingers on his memories, exposing his wounds from the inside and disclosing the lives and fates of the people from diverse ethnic and multi-cultural backgrounds.
