อิสระมีอยู่จริงไหม? แล้วอิสระที่แท้จริงคืออะไร? ผลงานชิ้นนี้ตั้งคำถามกับการมีอยู่ของอิสระของสัตว์/สัตว์ป่า และประเด็นของจริยธรรมในเรื่องการกักขังสิ่งมีชีวิต ในปัจจุบัน มนุษย์ได้รุกรานและก้าวก่ายอิสระทางธรรมชาติของสัตว์ และได้กักขังสัตว์เพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนตนและความบันเทิง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นตามสวนสัตว์หรือ exotic pet cafe ต่าง ๆ โดยเรามักอ้างว่าทำเพื่อป้องกันการสูญพันธุ์ของสัตว์และได้จำลองสภาพการเป็นอยู่เสมือนจริง แต่มันเป็นสิ่งที่ถูกต้องจริงหรือ? ไม่เพียงแต่ในสถานที่กักขังที่สัตว์ต้องอยู่ภายใต้กรอบที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้น แต่ในธรรมชาติเองก็ไม่ต่างกัน การรุกรานธรรมชาติของมนุษย์แสดงให้เห็นถึงความเห็นแก่ตัวของมนุษย์ที่ไม่ต่างอะไรกับการทารุณกรรมสัตว์ ผลงานชิ้นนี้จึงแสดงออกถึงประเด็นของการกักขัง รุกราน และ ทารุณกรรมสัตว์โดยฝีมือมนุษย์ที่ควรเป็น "สัตว์ประเสริฐ"
Does freedom really exist? What is real freedom? This work questions the existence, freedom of wild animals and the ethical issues of animals in captivity. Today, humans have intruded on the freedom of wild animals and confine them for personal gains and entertainment in the form of zoos or exotic pet cafés. We often mistreat such action and rationalize that we are saving them from extinction, simulating a wild habitat for them. But is it the right thing to do? Animals in captivity are not the only victims of man-made cages. In nature, humans are invading animal’s freedom rights at their habitats. This aggression has shown that human selfishness is no different from animal cruelty. This work reflects the concept of confinement, aggression, and cruelty by the hands of humans, who in fact, was supposed to act like a “noble animal”.
