Kalighat is an area in East Bengal, where Mother Teresa's controversy took place. Mother Teresa's Kalighat Home for the Dying Destitutes was a hospice with questionable quality of medical care. There was also a claim that nonconsensual baptisms were performed with the dying non-Christians. The composer used the coordinates of the hospice (22.5203° N, 88.3416° E) as the data (PC set, rhythms, etc.) with the transcription of Rigveda (Hinduism's text) and a quotation from In Paradisum (from the Requiem Mass).
