สระว่ายน้ำเป็นตัวแทนของโลกความฝัน เป็นโลกที่คนเราสร้างขึ้นเพื่อปลดปล่อยความรู้สึกบางอย่างกระแสน้ำช่วยทำให้สิ่งเหล่านั้นละลายไปช่วงหนึ่ง สระว่ายน้ำกลายเป็นที่รวมของความจริงบางอย่างเอาไว้ ซึ่งเมื่อขึ้นจากสระ คนเราก็จะกลับไปเผชิญโลกความจริงที่ไม่อยากยอมรับเหมือนเดิม
A swimming pool symbolizes a world of dreams which people build to release their feelings, believing that water will temporarily dissolve those feelings. A swimming pool is a place filled with facts. Once getting out of the pool. people come back to the real world they try to deny.
ใช้การถ่ายใต้น้ำและภาพใต้น้ำเป็นจุดเด่น รวมถึงเพลงประกอบเพื่อเพิ่มสุนทรียภาพและบรรยากาศบางอย่าง โดยภาพยนตร์จะแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ ส่วนเล่าเรื่อง และส่วนห้วงบรรยากาศ
