คนอีสานมีความเชื่อว่า แห สามารถจับผีปอบได้ ผีปอบซึ่งเป็นผีที่อาศัยอยู่ในร่างของคน การที่ข้าพเจ้าได้สัมผัสความเชื่อดังกล่าว ทําให้เห็น ว่ามนุษย์มีกิเลสที่เสมือนผีร้ายที่อยู่ในตัว (ผีปอบ) ถ้าแหจับปอบได้ มนุษย์ก็ควรมีสติที่คอยจับกิเลสคอย ควบคุมไว้
Isan people believe that a fishing net can be used to catch Porp, a ghost that possesses one's body. Having learned of such a belief, I have come to see that humans have a craving for things outside of themselves just like one being possessed by a Porp Thus, if a fishing net can catch a Porp, a person should be conscientious enough to catch and control their cravings.
